    Then Pearl Harbor came into play, this is, keep in mind, a U. S Naval Base

    They deployed ships that prevented Japan's progression.

    Japan therefore bombed Pearl Harbor.

    All in all, they bombed Pearl Harbor because they were preventing Japanese Conquest
