    a. Generalized tonic-clonic

    Explanation:

A generalized tonic-clonic seizure occurs when there a disturbance in how both sides of the brain function, and usually send signals to glands, muscles and nerves. Loss of consciousness and extreme muscle contractions can then occur as the signals permeate the brain.

Tonic-clonic aspect of the seizure is named after each of the two stages. When tonic stage occurs, consciousness will be lost, muscles will stiffen, the person will fall down and start vomiting. The clonic stage, also refereed to as convulsion, occurs when there is a fast muscles contractions.

The duration of generalized tonic-clonic is usually between 1 and 3 minutes, and any longer duration requires a medical emergency.

    I wish you the best.
