Hotel does have legal right to put out Steve's friend from the room as it was booked on name and identification of Steve. If Steve had to leave the room due to emergency then also it cannot be occupied by any of his relative or friend in his absence in legal terms. Hotel was also not permitting change of occupant in such condition.
