Who is believed to be the person that came up with the idea for labor day?

    Explanation:

    The guy was the leader of a labor union as well as a carpenter. He came up with this idea with the concept that American labors should be celebrated and they should have a dedicated day of their own. The idea was proposed by him to the New York's Central Labor Union in 1882, and they approved it thinking it was a good plan.
