    b. you were passively reading

If you cannot recall what you have just read, it is most likely because you were passively reading. passively reading occurs when we do not pay attention to what we are doing and so it is possible to forget things read just seconds ago. On the contrary, actively reading is a reading focused on the operation and it is correlated to a better understanding and memory retain.
