Federalists were in favor of the strong government for the betterment of the country where as the democratic republic feared too strong central government.

    Explanation:

Federalists trusted in a solid administrative republican government drove by educated, open lively men of property. The Democratic-Republicans, then again, dreaded an excessive amount of government power and concentrated more on the provincial regions of the nation, which they thought were underrepresented and undeserved.

The Federalists accepted that Democratic-Republican analysis of Federalist strategies was unfaithful and expected that outsiders living in the United States would identify with the French during a war. Therefore, a Federalist-controlled Congress passed four laws, referred to by and large as the Alien and Sedition Acts.
