You are working as a Solutions Architect for a technology company which is in the process of migrating their applications to AWS. One of their systems requires a database that can scale globally and can handle frequent schema changes. The application should not have any downtime or performance issues whenever there is a schema change in the database. It should also provide low-latency response to high-traffic queries. Which is the most suitable database solution to use to achieve this requirement?

The correct answer is Amazon DynamoDB

DynamoDB is a cloud service. Amazon hosts all the infrastructure needed to run an instance of DynamoDB for its customers. In return, customers must pay for the following:

    Every read request

    Every write unit request

Each byte of storage used (storage)

The currency for these requests are RCU (Read Capacity Units) and WCU (Write Capacity Units). In general, a DynamoDB table needs to have a certain provisioned RCU / WCU (/ / B) at the time of creation (can be modified at any time as well) and the table can serve as many readings / writes as needed, as long as the RCU / Provisioned WCU support traffic.
