Location is one of the 5 themes of geography. There are two types of location they are absolute location and relative location. Absolute location is a place's or person's exact location on the globe. Relative location is a place's or person's position based upon other locations. An example of relative location is saying that Connecticut is south of Massachusetts.
Place is one of the 5 themes of geography. Place can be split into two smaller categories. These categories are physical characteristics and human characteristics. Physical characteristics are things found in nature. Landforms, weather, plants, and animals are all physical characteristics. Human characteristics are things that people create and make.
Region is one of the 5 themes of geography. There are two smaller categories of region. These smaller categories are physical and human. Physical is an area that shares one or many physical characteristics. Human is an area that shares one or many human characteristics.
Movement is one of the 5 themes of geography. Some examples of movement would be oil shipped from the Middle East to all over the world. Another example would be Islam spreading out of the Middle East to the world.
