If talkative men are viewed as powerful and competent, why do you think talkative women are seen as less capable and pushy? Do you think this perception would be different in an organization with a large percentage of female managers at top levels?

Men are often viewed as more powerful than women and more "capable," that is why a talkative man is viewed differently than a talkative woman. Hearing a man talking is often associated with them being educated and hearing a women talking a lot is often associated with them being annoying and pushy like stated above. The reason for this is because men are a lot of times in higher positions in society than women.

Yes, I think if there were a large percentage of female managers at the top of levels of society, the average views of society would change and talkative women would be associated with knowledgeable and powerful.
