B.) Mississippian Period was the period where the people were organized as chiefdoms.

Chiefdoms also mean ranked society--a social structure. Chiefdoms were divided into two groups: The Elites and The Commoners.

The Elites were those whom people believe come from supernatural connections like a descendant of the sun, a god. They are treated with utmost deference because the people believe that they have powers to command nature to do their bidding as granted to them by the gods.
