    On August 6, 1945, during World War 2. an American bomber dropped the first atomic bomb over the Japanese city Hiroshima. The explosion wiped out 90 percent of the city killed 80,000 people. Thousands more died of radiation exposure. So the bombing resulted in killing 90 percent of the population in Japan.
