    The artificial selection or selective breeding can be defined as the process by which the animals and plants are breed for a particular trait. The human beings only allows the favorable trait.

    The male and female having desired characters are selected and mated to produce offspring which is fertile or can be sterile.

    These opp spring can now reproduce in order to continue those characters. Some of the products of artificial selection is sterile as well. Example: Mule
