According to levels-of-processing theory, the synonym/antonym group's performance should be the highest while the same letter group's performance should be the lowest.

The levels of processing theory by Craik and Lockhart fixates on the processing depth that's involved in the memory, and then that after anticipating the processing of deeper information, the protracted a memory trace will last.
