Sociology is defined as the study of human society. Its norms, mores, and development.

Micro means small while Macro means big.

Microsociology is a study of human behavior in a smaller scale. In an individual basis.

Macrosociology is a study of human behavior in a larger scale. In a population.

Abortion is a very sensitive subject to discuss. Before, it had only been discussed in intimate circles, among trusted friends and family members. Nowadays, abortion is being discuss worldwide and many even moved to declare abortion as illegal.

In a micro scale, abortion is discussed by the affected female and the close family circles. Abortion may be done in secret for fear of judgement from society. There are many individual and personal issues the woman has to undergo and consider before deciding on whether she will continue with the procedure or not.

In a macro scale, abortion is discussed by everyone regardless if the reason is valid or not. They all have preconceived notions that abortion is wrong and must only be done if the pregnancy puts both mother and child at risk. If the mother decided to abort her baby because she wants to even without risking her health, she will then be deemed immoral and selfish. She will most likely be harassed and unjustly treated without regard to her reasons.
