Describe the functions of the three different branches of the United States government. In your description, be sure to identify the purpose of each branch and provide examples of how each branch can check the power of the other two branches of government.

    The three branches of the United States government are legislative branch, executive branch, and judicial branch.

    Legislative branch is tasked to make laws.

    Executive branch is tasked to implement the laws made by the legislative branch.

    Judicial branch is tasked to evaluate the laws if these laws are constitutional or not.

    How each branch check the power of the other two branches in the government.

    Laws made the legislative branch may be vetoed by the President, head of the Executive Branch.

    Cabinet members of the Executive branch must be nominated by the President and approved by the Senate, house of the legislative branch.

    Judicial branch reviews the laws made by the senate and signed by the president. They can make a law unenforceable and void if it is unconstitutional. Nine Justices in the branch is nominated in by the President and approved by the Senate.
