    The patterned social arrangements in the society that emerge form the actions of the individuals is called social structure.

    Karl Mark presented one of the earliest theories of social structure, he related religious cultural and political life with the mode of production. The three sub type social structure theory are: culture conflict theory, strain theory and disorganisation theory.

    While structuralism is a methodology according to which human culture needs to be understood by their relationship to an overarching structure or system. Structuralism tries to reveal the structure that is under all the things humans do, such as perception, feeling and thinking.

    The major difference between them is the approach. Social structure use the observational methods to arrive at conclusions about society while structuralism used qualitative, interpretive and subjective analysis.
