    Answer: d. ghrelin

    Explanation:

Ghrelin is a hormone that is secreted by our stomach and some small part comes from intestine, brain and pancreas.

It has various functions. It is mostly called 'hunger hormone' because it is responsible for our appetite, increasing our food intake and encourages our body to store fat.

It increases our appetite by moving through our blood vessels it goes to hypothalamus (brain part that controls how we eat and our appetite) to indicate to us that we are hungry.

It also plays a role in how our insulin is released which is also an important hormone in controlling our body to lose weight.

    How is ghrelin controlled?

Ghrelin levels are affected by our food intake of we take less food they increase to higher levels such as when we fast and lower down with those who have high body weight which means it perfect in how we regulate our body weight.

What happens if I have too much ghrelin?

Ghrelin rises higher if an individual is dieting which makes it difficult to lose weight during dieting because when it senses hunger it will increase our appetite to make up for that hunger.
