What is three groups that existed on the Italian peninsula from about 700 to 500 B. C.

    1) Speakers of Italic, a subgroup of Indo-European. The latins, that will form the Roman empire are also included in this group

    2) Etruscans; not related to Indo-Europeans, very strong position in the peninsula at the time

    3) The Greeks had colonies in the south!
