    There are three types of urbanization models, these are concentric zone model, sector model and multiple nuclei model. The concentric zone model describes the city as having five concentric rings. The inner ring is usually the central business district, this is followed by the second ring which is considered to be a transition zone and the rings go on like that, moving gradually away from the center of the city.
