    The reason is that if Delsey left her will to her daughter Delsey while she was alive, she would be the rightful heir, but in the event that she had already died, the rightful heir would be Delsey's son and Char's grandson, Egor.

    So Char's desire to leave the ranch to her daughter is not fulfilled for obvious reasons, but it is fulfilled in part because her son (and char's grandson) is the rightful heir.
