5. Are free acts, as Stace and compatibilists say, "those whose immediate causes are psychological states in the agent?" Would such acts still be free if the "psychological states" were secretly controlled by someone else through hypnosis?

Yes. Free acts are psychological states in the agent. Free will will not be taken away when secretly controlled by someone else through hypnosis. Hypnosis over writes an individuals mind with the thoughts and instruction from another individual. At the same time the individual under hypnosis cannot be forced to do things that they were not comfortable or willing to do when they were in senses. Hypnosis as therapy, is followed to deliver suggestion to a very focused mind. These suggestions are accepted by mind as an instruction which benifits the individual. Example: Relieving pain in a part of the body.
