What does "birthright citizenship" mean?

    It means acquiring citizenship in a country (U. S. A for example) by being born in the country or one of its territories (Guam or Puerto Rico for example) and being subject to its jurisdiction and automatically receiving citizenship. Birthright citizenship may also be conferred jus soli or jus sanguinis.
