Which type of rights did the colonists who drafted the Declaration of Independence most want to protect?

    I believe the answer is: inalienable right

    unalienable Rights stated that all men are created equal and they have the full freedom to pursue their own liberty and happiness.

    According to the draft, This type of freedom only guaranteed by the government for legal citizens by united states and cannot be transferred to other that are not legal citizens.
