    When people are taught to retrain their thinking from a nation-state to a global stage, their entire perspective can change. They begin to understand that social responsibility extends far beyond their own borders. Another consequence is that people begin to have a different view of their own identity because they are now looking beyond their own borders and culture and have more information to draw upon.
