Why is building up to full uniform/padding a good idea in preventing heat illness during practices? Students can run faster when not weighed down by gear. Students need to get acclimatized to heat and exercise intensity before wearing heavy gear. Students need to build up their muscles before wearing full gear. Removing gear makes it harder to cool a studnet down when overheated.

Students need to get acclimated to heat and exercise intensity before wearing heavy gear.

    Explanation:

Those student who are used to heat are less likely to fall illness due to heat. Heat stroke is one of major cause for death of many athletes in the United States. Because these students are not acclimated to heat and therefore the body absorbs more heat at a very short period of time and this causes harm for the body.

While practicing and in training activities during the hot-weathers it is mostly advised to wear a full uniform or padding to prevent from heat illness because it will try to stop the water losses from the body. The heavy gear worn by the athletes behaves as a heat absorber and prevents heat that reaches to the body.
