Why was the Huang He river and the Chang Jiang river important in early history of China

    The sides surrounding Huang He and Chang Jiang were the craddle of the Chinese civilisation, as the early sites of the civilization were found in their proximity. Rivers were a good place to start a settlement, as they provided a source of water, food (fish) and transportation.
