    Mignon Moore is a Professor of Sociology. Barnard College | Columbia University opined that in the United States, the intersection of race and sexuality has a strong influence on family relations, access to resources, and power and I strongly agreed with her thus;

    Explanation:

    The criteria are family relations, access to resources, and power

    Family Relations influence life choices and opportunities: The type of family background one has is so influential in the life choices of career, spouse, friends, jobs and to make judicious use of available opportunities in all endeavours of life.

    Access to Resources: The intersection of race and sexuality greatly influence access to resources because women as vulnerable group, the Blacks, Hispanic, the Latinos and the other depraved races have suffered untold segregations, denials, isolations, embarrassments, discriminations, assaults from time till date. These unfavourd races have been denied access to education, health care, public facilities, and so on.

    Power - The issue of race made the like of Rev. Martin Luther King Jrn, MalcomX and other social activists to embark of aggressive public enlightenment campaigns/awareness to liberate these depraved races. These races and the female gender were denied the rights to contest for public offices. Women were not allowed to participate in politics and some jobs, which were tagged exclusive reserves for men.
