    Based on the study program above, the independent variable in the study is the students who are participating whereas the dependent variable is likely the graduation rates.

    Independent variable is defined as the variable that can stand alone without affecting any result or variable whereas the dependent variable is defined as the variable that depends on another to produce a certain result.
