This type of experimental design is a quasi-experimental design where the class' (students in sections A and B) final year project is assessed by the evaluators without randomly assigning the students to each section. The class was divided into 2 sections: students whose GPAs were known, and students whose GPAs were not known. Generally, with regard to quasi-experimental design, the class could as well have been divided on other different basis: alphabetically, or by how the students sit in class, etc.
