Where did the Nile river start and end. What did people do there?

The Nile River flows from the Mediterranean Sea to Lake Victoria in Africa. It flooded yearly and consistently, allowing the people nearby to develop irrigation system. They used it as their water source. The land around it was also very fertile, so they developed agricultural societies around it.
