Importance of road safety for youth

Car crashes are the leading cause for death among minors. Road safety, as far as riding in a car, is one of the easiest ways to prevent such loss. Ride safely in a car, sit correctly, ensure your seat belt is on properly, and that the driver is sober and not behaving erratically. While either walking or biking near a road, ensure that you are on the side opposite traffic. Do not wear earbuds or headphones. Maintain accurate vision and hearing so that you are aware of your surroundings. Use a flashing light or reflective belt to better enable those around you to be aware of you.
