How did the cuban missile crisis affect public opinion about president kennedy?

    It increased his popularity. He was now seen as someone who would not back down in front of the Soviet Union and was willing to negotiate and stand for the United States of America. Also, he avoided a nuclear war so naturally they loved him for managing to solve the situation without going to war, while also not just cowering.
