Katie and Inez are roommates taking the same psychology class. They have a test in four days during a 10am-11am class period. Both women intend to study for three hours, but because of different work schedules, Katie will study one hour for each of the next three days, while Inez will study three hours the day before the exam. What could you predict about their performances?

Answer: Katie would likely perform better due to spacing effect.

    Explanation:

Spacing effect is the effect in which learning is expected to be efficient when learning session is distracted. Repetition of things over spaced out longer time can make a person remember for long term rather than short space out time.

Accordion to the question, chances of Katie's performance is expected to be better than Inez due to spacing effect. As Katie has more spaced out time between her studying session she would remember better because Inez has to study three hours regularly before the exam day.
