    As for the Mississippian people, they lived mainly in the Southeast, usually in the river valleys of Mississippi, and in other states named now as Alabama, Georgia, Arkansas, Missouri, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio; at the time the tribe existed, the climate of this regions was wet and warm.
