    Answer: The correct answer is : Aksum became the greatest power in the Red Sea under the control of Adulis. Some time later Adulis was captured by the Muslims, with this the naval capacity of Aksum ended and this led to the isolation of the Aksumita kingdom. Finally the Islamic empire took control of the Red Sea and a large part of the Nile River, thus forcing the economic isolation of Aksum.
