    Extrinsic factors can be defined as the sources or factors which affect the human behavior.

    For example, when an employee gets a reward such a gift, bonus, salary increment for his/her performance in work than this is known as extrinsic factors.

    These extrinsic factors motive an individual or group of people to perform beyond their strength and power to get more rewards. Thus we can say that it is possible to turn extrinsic factors into intrinsic motivators.
