    the movement of water from low concentration area to high concentration area is known as Diffusion.

    And if the movement is from the area of high concentration to low concentration when a membrane is present in between them then it is called osmosis

    The movement of water from low concentration of area to high concentration area energy is known as Active movement.

    Active movement energy is needed for the movement of the water.
