The behavior of Jeff and Rob is an example of avoidance learning which is a form of behavior modification, it allows a person to act, behave accordingly or to teach one’s self in behaving in a new way to avoid having situations that will make them lead to an unpleasant situation. It is seen in the given scenario for Jeff stops on acting goofy and decided to keep quiet so that Rob won’t nag him in to telling him to act accordingly because of the behavior that he is displaying, making Rob’s action to not trigger and to be avoided. It is a way where they try to avoid the used to behavior to avoid a more unpleasant situation.
