What gods or spirits are worshiped in the Shinto religion?

    The Shinto religion worships kami, which are scared spirits which take the form of things and important concepts. such as trees, rivers, mountains, wind. People also become Kami after they die and are held scared by their families as ancestral kami

    Kami (Japanese: 神, [kaꜜmi]) are the spirits or phenomena that are worshipped in the religion of Shinto. They can be elements of the landscape, forces of nature, as well as beings and the qualities that these beings express; they can also be thespirits of venerated dead persons.
