Do you believe President Jackson's veto of the Maysville Road Bill was the appropriate action?

    The question of federal intervention in a states inside economy was well established by the time Jackson became President. The US federal government had no business supporting a road in Kentucky, if this had been a inter-state road you could make the argument for government intervention, but since this benefits only one state, the federal government should not be involved. I believe President Andrew Jackson was right when he vetoed this bill.
