    There are actualy four levels of economic activity.

    Primary - Activity that uses the Earth's natural resources. Examples include farming, fishing, mining, ect.

    Secondary - "Less developed" countries begin to manufacture products from primary industries.

    Tertiary - Provide services to primary, secondary industries, communities, and individual consumers.

    Quaternary - Economies have reached the technical level. People are involved in jobs such as information research, management, and administration.
