    Explanation:Ascribed status is based on social status that is based on our birth status that we automatically get with no choice in the matter. It is a status that you haven't worked for and that you don't have a choice regarding it it is automatically assigned to you. It could be negative or positive but whethe you desire to get rid of it or not it remains yours all your life.

    This status is based on gender, race, family origins and ethnic backgrounds.
