Answer: Ordinal Scale of Measurement

There are four types of scales of measurement scales that are used to categorize variables. They are nominal, ordinal, interval, and ratio scales. In our example, the sociologist ranks the jobs based on the responses of 100 people. He used the Ordinal Scale of Measurement where each value has a unique meaning and has an ordered relationship to every value on the scale. It means that the jobs chosen by the people the most is the most prestigious of all. The least, the less prestigious.
