Bias, the tendency for samples to differ from the corresponding population in some systematic way, might be due to: (a) selection bias, (b) response bias, and/or (c) non-response bias. In a few sentences, discuss the differences among these different biases

    A). Selection Bias

    Selection bias is when there is an ingrained problem in the way that the samples are chosen. If the samples differ from the corresponding population, then there is a problem in the way that samples are chosen.

    Response bias is when there is a problem in the way that people respond to the poll (lying on the poll, etc.) and non-response bias is when a certain group in the population does not respond to the poll (ie: only old people answer phone calls while younger people won't).
