At the taking of a free kick, an opponent who is less than ten yards from the ball fails to respect the required distance by advancing or lunging toward the ball and blocks the kick. what action should the referee take?

    The referee should warn the player and tell him to not lung at the ball. This should prevent the player from doing it again because it will hurt his team. The kick should be done again. If the player does lung at the ball again, he should be given a yellow card.
