    The correct answer for this question is answer B. All natural things have spirits. Animism began as far back as when Homo Erectus were roaming the earth. We aren't sure if they practiced animism explicitly, but they did form that mindset that spirits exist, thus beginning the process of symbolic thought. But animism always refers to all natural objects, even furniture that has a little natural material in it, like cotton, has a soul.
