Existential therapy tends to deal with these conflicts. In this type of therapy, a conflict arises because people are facing the "knowns" of life: that is, they're going to eventually pass on, feeling isolated, and the meaninglessness of life overall. The goal of existential treatment is to show that meaninglessness is simply meaning undiscovered and that there is meaning and ability to live in a fulfilling way for every part of life.
