Why does east texas have a higher average rainfall amount compared to west texas

    East Texas has a higher average rainfall amount compared to West Texas because East Texas has a different climate compared to West Texas. West Texas is more arid or dry and therefore receives substantially less rainfall in comparison to East Texas.
