According to Sullivan's A Note on Formulating the Relationship of the Individual and the Group, if the focus of personality study should be on the interpersonal situation, not on the person, then how could we go about assessing personality?

Some efficient tools are verbal report and collateral evidence

    personality according to Sullivan is as a result of a different stages in individual life where the individual constantly grows "good feeling" toward others and goodliness sense for himself or herself. The individual tries or learn how anxiety can be put off and right distorted views (perception) of other people, learns the acts of ideas validation by thorough consensual validation, lastly tries every means necessary to achieve better interpersonal relationships on a maturity sense.
