    Miranda v. Arizona was an important supreme court case. In the case the supreme court ruled that the court cannot accept the defendant's authorities unless the defendant is informed of their right to have attorney during questioning and told that anything they say will be held against him.

    Miranda was arrested for kidnapping a women. The law enforcement official interrogated him, he admitted to the crimes and signed a written confession. when his case went to trial his confession was used against him.
